2%

A couple days ago, when I saw my manager in the hall, he said that there exists maybe a 2% chance that I won't be going after all.  Today I called him upon arrival at the airport to confirm that I'm still in the 98% bracket, and I am.  So all is well on that front.

However, the flight from Boston to San Francisco was just delayed.  Good thing I have a few hours of buffer time while I'm there, right?  Hopefully the manual transfer of luggage and re-check-in and re-security-in won't cause me to miss my flight.  Maybe there's a 2% chance that I'll miss it?  That chance increases with each passing minute, of course.

That doesn't mean that I won't go, per se.  It just means that I'll be in San Francisco longer than anticipated.  A day longer, according to the schedule of flights on the Philippine Airlines website.  I think.  The listing is kind of confusing, and the time dilation effect from the Pacific black hole doesn't help.

I would prefer not to.
