They Gave Me Trash Bags

Ok, I now officially love this hotel.  It's the little things that you remember, you know?  The customer service here took me for a surprising turn tonight upon returning to my room.

See, in the time I've been here I've only asked for my room to be serviced twice.  So I'm basically averaging every 4-5 days.  At first it had looked like that was going to be a problem for them.  But no, they grew accustomed to it.  They adjusted to my patterns.

Normally I keep the "do not disturb" sign on the door at all times.  Every few days, I turn it around to the "please service my room" side of the sign.  I did this today.  And this time when I got back to my room they had already turned it back to the "do not disturb" side.  They remembered, and they continued my pattern for me.

Even more, though, is the trash bags.  On the days when I want my room serviced, I help them out a little first.  I ball up the towels into a single convenient wad wrapped with a single towel and leave it by the door.  I also empty the trashes and tie up the bags and leave those by the door.  I also do the dishes and clean up around the sink.  Basically, I do various little things within reason to accommodate the staff, since I know I'm kind of a weird customer and don't want to seem too demanding.

When I got back to my room tonight, after being pleasantly surprised by the sign on the door, I was even pleasantlier surprised by the fact that they left two medium sized trash bags for me.  They put bags in the cans, sure.  But they left me additional bags.  They picked up on my pattern and made a small gesture to help me out and make me more comfortable here.  Thus completing the circle of helping each other out in small ways, I suppose.

Trash, prepare to be bagged.  Hell, if they leave me extra towels then I can go weeks without needing the room serviced.
