The sniffles and the sneezes, I have them. I don't think I've contracted an illness per se, it feels more like an allergy. And I'm pretty sure how it happened.
On Saturday I went out all day. It was a lot of walking, so on Sunday I was a bit sore and tired. So I decided to stay in on Sunday and just get some work done. (And also watch a marathon of Ancient Aliens for reasons not entirely clear to me.) At some point on Saturday night, I realized that my room was cold. Perhaps I'm acclimating to the local weather. So I simply shut off the air conditioner as a test to see if I could get by without it. Why waste the electricity, right?
Turns out I can get by without it just fine, as far as temperature is concerned. I slept fine on Saturday night, and stayed in the room the entirety of Sunday. Slept fine again Sunday night, and stayed in the room throughout Monday morning before going to work in the afternoon. However, as Monday morning progressed, It became clear that I had the sniffles and the sneezes.
The air conditioner, as you can well imagine, also served the purpose of circulating and filtering the air in the room. I was wallowing in allergens after approximately 36 hours of not opening the door. I turned on the air in the room again so it could circulate a little, and I'll leave it on tonight to circulate some more. Meanwhile the fresh air of the day if very pleasant, though it'll take a while for my histamines to catch on.
